Marcus Barela

Marcus Barela has been a bartender at Eagle LA for over 20 years. He traveled the world as the 45th International Mr. Leather and recently graduated from UCLA with a bachelor's degree in Chicano Studies and Queer Studies.

Marcus flags maroon on the left. Anyone know what the maroon hanky code means? That's right—cutting! Marcus enjoys cutting up magazines and crafting visions of the future. He likes to say, "Collage is my kink!” Join Marcus and his co-host, Matt Block, Mr. Bear LA, at BOOTS & BOARDS, their bi-monthly full moon collage workshop at Eagle LA.

Charlie Banfield (aka Jack Dyer)

Charlie jumped into Leather, Kink and Fetish later in life, but certainly made up for lost time. As Jack Dyer, he shot his first studio scene on his 50th birthday. (A gangbang, for Treasure Island Media, 15 tops, 2 bottoms-twins). He went on to shoot 210 adult studio scenes in a year and a half.

That same year he competed in the 2019 Mr. Precinct Leather contest and took first runner up to Elliot Musgrave. The following year was sashed Mr. Toolshed 2020 (which ended up becoming a 2 year title due to pandemic). And with that title, he took first runner up to Charlie Harding, in the 2020 Mr. Palm Springs Leather contest. In 2023, he chaired Palm Springs Leather Pride, and grew it to 24 events in 3 days. ​

Charlie has mentored 2 past competitors to their title wins as Mr. Palm Springs Leather. He lives in the Coachella Valley with his 2 husbands, Brenden and Stephen. He was the 10th single gay man to adopt in California, is Black-Cuban-Mexican daughter, Judith just turned 30 years old and his granddaughter, Zoe is now 4.

He currently owns his own real estate firm in Palm Springs-Banfield Real Estate Group. Charlie heads the Banfield Real Estate Group Charitable Fund which distributes upwards of $50,000 per year to local and national LGBTQIA+ organizations.

Steve Strongarm is a Palm Springs-based massage therapist and fearless advocate who loves celebrating body autonomy, self-expression, and the joy of being unapologetically you. Deeply connected to the leather, kink, body modification, and pro-body positivity communities, he helps people feel seen, safe, and sexy in their own skin.

As the founder of M.A.R.K., a lively online newsletter, he introduces the body mod, kink, and fetish worlds to curious readers—empowering autonomy, expression, and the beauty of modification with a dash of spice.

Mental health matters to him, and he’s open about his PTSD from five years as a U.S. Marine aviation mechanic, reinforcing a commitment to resilience, community support, and compassionate care.

His bodybuilding roots fueled moves from New Jersey to the Poconos and now to Palm Springs, with each chapter adding strength, curiosity, and a little extra shine to life. He’s all about learning, connecting, and exploring wellness, body art, and performance in sexy, friendly, and inclusive spaces.

Colton Stenke is the previous Eagle LA Mr. Leather, 2020 and produces the JUNGLE and STYNK nights at the Eagle LA. He supports our leather community by promoting inclusion for all and creating safe spaces for people to come together, in both fun and kink - and always has time for a cigar.

David Sanford

Mr. Fetish SoCal 2026.

David Sanford is Mr. Fetish SoCal 2026 and has been an active member of the Los Angeles leather community for over a decade. He is proud to have received the Brotherhood Award from his title class during the Los Angeles Leather contest in 2017 where he competed as Mr. Sister Leather.

He has volunteered his time with various organizations and groups for many years including the Leather Archives in Chicago and at many contests throughout California. He is sober for over 18 years and credits his successes and accolades to staying connected to his 12-step roots. David hopes that people will always feel they can approach him with questions when it comes to leather and kink. You may not know him yet, but he probably knows something about you.

International Ms. Boot Black 2024 (IMsBB), Executive Director bootblack.org, Founder of Rice Up

SpankCake (she/her) is a service-oriented Leather babygirl from Los Angeles and served as International Ms. Bootblack 2024. She is the Executive Director of the non-profit organization, bootblack.org, as well as Founder of Rice Up, an advocacy group for Asian leather people. She has served as a judge for a variety of contests, most recently including International Ms. Bootblack, International Mr. Bootblack, International Community Bootblack and will be a judge at MIR XXX this November.

SpankCake is also the proud recipient of the Leather-to-Leather Future award, has written for the NCSF and was featured in BLIC magazine. She is also humbled to join Bootblack Roundup as one of their newest owners, a conference for bootblacks and those that love them.

DJ.MARTINM has been lifting dancefloors since his teens and through the golden era of disco and the evolution of house and hip-hop. He is rooted in the Los Angeles LGBTQ+ scene as a resident DJ at the very much missed iconic Woody’s Hyperion.

His sets have resonated across LA’s favorite clubs including Precinct DTLA, Flux Nightclub, and the legendary Faultline, as well as played private events at Avalon Hollywood. For DJ.MARTINM, it’s always about the music, the history, and the people. "Long live the 12".

Adrian Bernal is the owner and Head Honcho of Rough Trade Gear, proudly serving the leather community from both Los Angeles and Palm Springs for nearly 30 years. ​

Beyond creating custom leather, Adrian has dedicated himself to giving back to the community. He is an active member of PSLOD, serves on the board of the Off Sunset Street Festival, is an original board member of Encuerado Weekend, and proudly produces the Mr. Rough Trade Gear Leather contest, celebrating leather pride, craftsmanship, and the next generation of titleholders. ​

A master leather craftsman with an eye for design, fit, and detail, Adrian believes every piece of leather should make its wearer feel confident, empowered, and unapologetically authentic. His work has been showcased on local, regional, and international stages, helping many contestants reach the podium and earn prestigious titles.

Whether he’s designing a custom piece, mentoring a contestant, or supporting community events, Adrian continues to do what he loves most—helping people feel powerful in their own skin, one piece of leather at a time.

Jessica Pimentel has been part of Rough Trade Gear since its inception and currently serves as Manager and Wrangler, working closely with leather titleholders, contestants, clubs, and community events throughout the year.

A longtime member of the leather community, Jessica has had the privilege of helping leather contestants from around the world prepare for the contest stage through custom gear and support behind the scenes.

She has also served as a judge for several leather title contests, giving her a unique perspective on the dedication, authenticity, and spirit that define our community.

As Judge Coordinator, Jessica is honored to help ensure a positive experience for both judges and contestants while continuing to support and celebrate the next generation of leather leaders.

Rough Trade Gear PS Manager

Greg Estrada

Rough Trade Gear Manager.

Greg Estrada is the manager of Rough Trade Gear Palm Springs and previously managed Rough Trade Gear at The Barracks. He will soon oversee the new Rough Trade Gear location at The Eagle in Cathedral City and also assists with the company's sister brand, LÜSTERN LA.

Before joining Rough Trade Gear, Greg dedicated more than 20 years to serving youth and families as a Los Angeles County Probation Officer. He also worked with the Los Angeles Unified School District and the City of South El Monte Recreation Department in a variety of educational and community service roles.Greg has a long history of volunteer leadership and community advocacy. He volunteered with the National Conference for Community and Justice (formerly the National Conference of Christians and Jews, NCCJ), where he served as a Human Rights Training facilitator, Art Director, and Residential Student Advisor for the Latino/a College Leadership Institute.

Within the LGBTQ+ community, Greg is an Emeritus Sister, Mendusa Love Forbid, of the Los Angeles Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. He is also an active member of the Palm Springs Leather Order of the Desert (PSLOD), reflecting his continued commitment to service, community, and inclusion.

For the past 20 years, Greg has shared his life with his partner, Adrian, whose love and support have been a constant source of strength throughout their journey together.
